Named The Times and The Sunday Times Hotel of the Year in 2022, The Retreat at Elcot Park is the Signet Collection hotel group’s second property to open. Ben Whistler worked with procurement company Vendor 2 Tender to turn this grade II-listed Regency mansion into an award-winning place to stay.
Ben Whistler manufactured 260 pieces of upholstery and cabinetry for the bedrooms, reception and restaurant, managing the delivery and installation across the hotel, and working to challenging lead time. With comfort a paramount consideration, the furniture reflects a brief for a new chapter of classic country house style, and shows off traditional details such as turned bobbin legs, buttoning, fringing and skirted sofas and chairs.
